Surprise! Let me introduce the new project we are picking off the Toonami Jetstream, Mega Man Star Force! This came as a surprise to me as I was not aware of this being put on Jetstream. For more information about this series, click here to go the Ryusei no Rockman entry at AnimeNewsNetwork. In addition to this new Mega Man series, we will also be picking up the new Eyeshield 21 show to be available this fall. Keep your eyes peeled for that!

Mega Man Star Force will NOT be released on torrents by us weekly. We will still be releasing this show as new episodes come out, except only via our direct download server. We will, however, be releasing BATCH torrents of this series at every 10 episodes like we do with every show. So check back here often for the new releases of Mega Man Star Force!

The Jetstream has been a little strange the past couple of weeks. You may have noticed that 2 weeks ago didn’t bring a new Prince of Tennis or MAR episode, but last week there was a double release of PoT and MAR. It would be my assumption that new episodes of Prince of Tennis and Marchen Awakens Romance will start their bi-weekly schedule again. I have been wrong with my guesses of the Jetstream schedule in the past, so be sure to check back here often for any new updates about their schedules.

Another very important announcement is that we will be moving to a new website! Preparations are being made for the move to the new site, and it should be ready within the next couple of days to a week. Don’t be expecting an all flash based webUI, not much, if anything, will change aesthetically.

#LA isn’t in any sort of trouble, it’s just that things are starting to get a little overwhelming sometimes. Please take time to read the situation we are in, and consider helping out if you can.

BitTorrent Issues.
I’m sure many of you are aware of the current torrent situation of our releases. The torrents just don’t get seeded well at all. Sure, for 24 hours or so after release there is 3+ seeds for awhile, but after that it’s all back to just me. It is very difficult to seed 40+ torrents on my own and still get the episodes to the fans at a decent rate. Many times I’m sending less than 1kB/s on the torrents because there are so many active at one time.

This is my first request of help: Reliable Seeders.
We are in need of seeders who have the time and bandwidth to be able to leave many torrents seeding at the same time for long durations. For example, I have been seeding MAR 01 ever since it came out 20+ weeks ago. We need dedication, maybe not quite to the extreme as I have done, but someone to help share the burden.

Direct Download Issues.
As many of you know, the MegaUpload service that we have been using has its setbacks. For example, there is a download limit that limits you to only about 2 downloads before waiting a fixed amount of time before you can download again. I am aware of this, and the fact that there are a few workarounds to this. I have tried, and will continue to try using MediaFire as a better alternative, but sometimes even MediaFire isn’t reliable. I believe the only way to get reliability without drawback or circumstance would be paid file hosting.

This is my second request of help: Dedicated file-hosting.
A dedicated file hosting service would be an excellent way for people to obtain our releases at high speeds all the time. The only downside would of course be, it is not free. So this request goes out to people with spare hosting they are not using, or some really generous people that wouldn’t mind paying for hosting for us. This isn’t as important as the other 2 requests.

Fileserving in Channel Issues.
Some people actually do prefer IRC over BT and a hosting service, but unfortunately when they try to look for our releases in our very own channel, it is hard for them to obtain at reasonable speeds. As of this writing, only 1 other person serves our releases. It is kind of frustrating when people come in looking to obtain the episodes that we release, only to say to get it somewhere else (via BT or the MU/MF link).

This is our third request for help: Serve in the channel / Donate XDCC bot.
Now I’d be extremely happy if we had another 1 or 2 people in our channel that served all our releases like Meteora and I do, but a dedicated XDCC bot in channel would probably benefit everyone alot more. For a channel of our size, we by no means need a 100mbit bot, but something with the very least a dedicated 50-100kB/s would be spectacular.

Prince of Tennis 10. Download it. Seed it.

You probably want me to write something about the episode like I normally do.. so here: new episode, horrible voice acting, mada mada dane, and cry.

But onto the news part of this post,the reason why the new(old) Pokemon series’ are not going to be on BT nor MU is because I do not have time, nor BW resources to do all of this myself. So I have decided to release 5 episode batch torrents in the future. So do be on the look out for that. HOWEVER, if you still want to get those episodes without waiting, they WILL be available in the main IRC channel.

MORE news! The file names of our releases are going to be changing at episodes 11+ on MAR and POT. Here’s an example on how POT 11 will look:

• [LA] Prince of Tennis – 11 – Ryoma vs Momoshiro.wmv – rather than:
• [LA] Prince of Tennis – 11 [ENGLISH DUB WEBRIP].wmv

The reason behind this is because by 10 episodes, people should have a good idea on what [LA] releases and where it comes from.

Also be on the lookout for a batch torrent for the first 10 episodes of MAR and POT in the upcoming week(s). That is all. Post over.

Unless our IRC channel gets an XDCC bot, or we get some dedicated BT seeders, I think MAR and Prince of Tennis will be the only weekly releases. The Pokemon episodes are just slowing me down to much. That doesn’t mean I won’t still do them, because I know some of you still want this. So I thought about just releasing batch torrents of 5 for the Pokemon series’. They will still be available weekly via IRC, but not available on torrents until later.

Three years ago… August 28, 2003… greatness… was born.

And what a 3 years it has been. After 3 years, one would think “Why is there still only 15-20 people on a regular basis? Shouldn’t you be well in the hundreds/thousands by now?” Well, if we were dedicated to a certain task or project throughout the entirety of the channel’s existence, we very well probably could be. Now by fucking the Toonami Jetstream, our attendance is certain to keep rising as it has been.

[/start generic cliche] I would honestly like to thank ALL the members of the channel, past and present, for donating their time and resources to become mindless drones who only idle and never rarely speak. [/end generic cliche] But in all honesty, these 3 years have been a blast.

I want to give out a friendly “Fuck you” to all the haters out there who constantly slam us for no particular reason other than jealousy. You people know who you are and don’t you try to deny it. So with that said, Fuck you.

Well welcome to #LA’s new site/blog thing… If you were looking for something flashy, then you over estimated my will power to create something good. Our old site was just too much of a hassle for me to update. Being poorly coded by me, it was hell to post a news update, and thats why it was only updated once a year.

But this is different. There will most likely be weekly posts on various things, such as releases, channel news, or something else that I feel like sharing. (No no, don’t be alarmed. I’m not going to go post about how emo I am and cut my wrists because somone called me a bad name or anything like that.)

So with that said, look forward to “news” posts to come.
